About the role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to clients with disabilities, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and stakeholders
- A passion for delivering client-centered care and supporting clients to achieve their goals
- A valid driver’s license
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide a range of supports and services (including home modifications and equipment prescription) to enable effective participation (of the NDIS Participants) in the occupations of everyday life.
- Undertake assessments and provide intervention, liaising with families, teachers & other relevant stakeholders
- Reporting the progress and current status to appropriate parties, including family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
- Perform initial evaluations of participants’ needs and develop customised therapy plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including clients, carers, and other health professionals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy to clients
