NDIS Community Participation

If you are looking for NDIS Community Participation in Melbourne, you are at the right place with us.

We at MyChoice and Control are here to provide the best Community Participation in Melbourne.

The NDIS actively engages and connects with people in local communities across Australia to make sure that they are sharing relevant and timely information about the Scheme and what is changing. The feedback that NDIS gather is used to help stakeholders such as the participants and providers, be aware and encouraged to participate in any ongoing social or community events. They actively coordinate with people around the country, at NDIA information and consultation meetings, and disability expos, in person and online.

A participant’s NDIS Plan may contain one of two forms of community participation funds. Funding for community engagement that falls under the category of “Core Supports” can contract a support worker to assist participants in engaging in social, professional, and community activities; community participation under “Capacity Building” includes support with increased social and community participation. This type of funding is used for training and development activities that assist individuals to integrate into the community and gain independence.

Community Access/ Community Access Care

Are you looking for Community Access Care in Melbourne? Look no further than MyChoice and Control!

Social and community participation also means different things to different people. It can include going to your local café, joining a netball team, bushwalking with a friend, doing a craft class, getting work experience, or volunteering.

Why is community participation important for people with disabilities?

Increased community participation can lead to improved health, well-being, and quality of life outcomes for people living with a disability and their carers. It can also decrease care and support costs in the long term for people living with mild-to-moderate disabilities.

We provide Disability Support and Independent Living Services

We are here to put the focus back on our Participants and their families.

In a system with piles of paperwork and regulations, we ensure our disability services care and NDIS support coordination is personalised so our Participants kick their own goals and live their best life possible.

Assistance with Social and Community Participation

Assistance with Social and Community Participation is a budget under the NDIS Core supports category. You can use this funding to improve your ability to participate in community, social and recreational activities. The support category is now officially called Assistance with Social, Economic, and Community Participation and can be used to fund economic activities (such as volunteering or work experience).

Social, economic, and community participation includes things like support to attend community-based activities and assistance to participate in social groups. The activities may take place in a range of locations such as in the community, in a center, or at a sporting venue. We at My Choice and Control are here for you in providing Assistance with social and community participation services.
