About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Speech Therapist/Pathologist to join our team to provide high-quality speech therapy services to clients with a range of communication difficulties, in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Speech Pathology A Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent)
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia -Certified -Practicing Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Extensive experience working with clients who receive support from the NDIS.
- Current Drivers License.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based therapy to clients (children, young people, and adults with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual and physical disability and other complex needs) with a range of speech, language and communication difficulties.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including clients, carers, and other health professionals.
- Perform initial evaluations of participants’ needs and develop customized therapy plans.
- Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of participants.
- Work to educate participants and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
- Administer early intervention therapy
- Incorporate Child Safe Standards in their practice when working with children and young people
